This Pieces Story

Like every piece, this is a one-of-a-kind item. This particular piece came from an old cherry tree near an area that was once a gold rush town and before that, a Native American resting point indicated by the many grinding stones found around the forest. This cherry tree was dead standing with an impressive diameter of 19 inches and standing 60 feet tall. An unusually large wild cherry tree! In an effort to clean the forest for fire safety we harvested this tree and are giving it new life in your homes by making beautiful functional art pieces like this one.
