This simple syrup is so easy to make and can be used in many ways tailored to your preferred drinks. It is a fun, easy and really quick way to whip up a refreshing drink or to put out for summer dinner parties and barbecues. We also love to use honey for our simple syrup rather than cane sugar or other sweeteners because of the natural beneficial properties of raw unfiltered honey. When we use raw honey we know we are getting the great flavors of pure farm fresh honey and all the beneficial enzymes, minerals, propolis and pollens. How to Make Simple Syrup with Honey
You ready for this recipe? It's so simple!
- 2oz Infused Honey of your choice
- 2oz warm water (not hot, body temperature is good)
That's it! Equal parts honey to water. Be sure to use warm water, not hot, so you maintain the great flavors and all the beneficial properties of raw unfiltered honey and the herbs and spices of the infusion. I made 4oz of simple syrup by using 2oz of Infused Honey and 2 oz of warm water. This made 3-4 8oz drinks for us.
Stir the mix until it dissolves and it is ready to use. You can adjust the recipe depending on how much syrup you want to make, you could do a tablespoon of each for a single drink. I used between 1-2 oz for an 8oz drink but this is all up to your preference, how sweet do you like your drink? This will last for 2-3 weeks in the refrigerator. Just be sure to keep it refrigerated.
