This is a versatile shaped spoon for mixing, light scraping, spatula and serving. The rounded corners will scrape the edges of your pot or pan keeping the edges from burning. Enjoy the beautiful grains and comfortable grip of this slight "inch worm" handle that makes it easy and comfortable to grip anywhere along the handle for good control.

We love the shape of this spoon from end to end, it feels good in your hands and can be used for most any cooking activity.

Cooking is made more enjoyable with a quality hand carved spoon!

The story of this wood

The Pacific Madrone is an evergreen member of the heath family (Ericaceae), closely related to blueberries, mountain laurels, rhododendrons, and manzanita. They are relics of Madro-Tertiary geoflora that lived on this same land millions of years ago. They are a striking tree with beautiful red bark and a curving twisting growth pattern.

This tree lived to a ripe old age and fell naturally on her own during a storm. We harvested and dried the wood, preparing it for carving. This is one of the beauties that came from this tree. A one-of-a-kind piece of function art for your kitchen and home.
