This tray was carved from part of a beautiful old black oak tree that fell in a winter storm. Slab and dried until ready, this piece wanted to become this gorgeous serving tray standing on four elegant pedestals. This is a sturdy piece. See the grains of the woods, the unique natural rose hues of this special tree and the medullary rays, horizontal rays that extend away from the core of the tree towards the bark and shimmers like fish scales. 

Enjoy this piece of functional art as a center piece, serving platter or display tray. 

 

Care Instructions:

We've finished this piece with our bees wax and food grade mineral oil wood conditioner for a longer life.

  • Don't let wood soak in water.
  • Never use harsh scouring pads.
  • Hand-wash only, not dishwasher safe.
