There is nothing like that favorite eating spoon! Have you ever eaten or sipped hot tea off of a wooden utensil? It is a different feel than hard metal in your mouth or against your teeth. Gentle and natural. This spoon is nice to hold with a smooth tail that rests on your pointer fingers knuckle in the classic utensil holding position. Its nice diameter handle is comfortable to hold. Works well with either hand. The bowl is wide, round and semi deep.
The entire spoon is 7.75" long. The handle is about 5.5" long. The bowl is 2"long and 1 5/8" wide and roughly .5" deep at its deepest.

The Story of This Piece:
Manzanita (Arctostaphylos manzanita) is a large shrub native to California. The way it grows is beautiful, the bark is smooth and red, the branches twist and curve as they grow, creating beautiful natural shapes. This piece demonstrates the natural shape of the manzanita tree, curved, soft and smooth. This was pulled from an old family ranch. These manzanita lived long lives, and grew until they died of old age. It's called The Manzanita Grave Yard. This was carved from wood pulled for such a purpose.
Care Instructions:
We've finished this piece with our bees wax and food grade mineral oil wood conditioner for longer life.
Don't let wood soak in water.
Never use harsh scouring pads.
Hand-wash only with warm water and gentle dish soap
